Prof. Mark S. Sklansky
Mark S. Sklansky, M.D. is Chief of Pediatric Cardiology at Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA, and Professor of Pediatrics within the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
An internationally recognized leader in the field of fetal cardiology and fetal cardiac imaging, Dr. Sklansky serves as Vice-Chair of the Section on Fetal Echocardiography of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. He has authored or co-authored over 50 articles and chapters in his fields of expertise, including fetal cardiology, three-dimensional fetal echocardiography, general pediatric echocardiography and cardiology, biomedical ethics, and veterinary cardiology.
Dr. Sklansky lead UCLA Division of Pediatric Cardiology provides comprehensive, collaborative, state-of-the-art and compassionate evaluation and management of fetal and pediatric patients with a wide range of congenital and acquired forms of heart disease.

Greg Ryan is head of the Fetal Medicine program at Mount Sinai. He is a Professor in the Dept. of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and the Dept. of Medical Imaging, University of Toronto. He trained in Dublin, Winnipeg, Hamilton, Toronto, Glasgow & London (UK).
His main interests are in the areas of high-risk pregnancy, obstetric ultrasound, fetal anomalies, twin complications and fetal therapy.
He has pioneered several fetal therapeutic procedures in Canada, including fetoscopic laser for twin-twin-transfusion syndrome and other complex identical twin complications, in-utero cardiac interventions, fetoscopic tracheal balloon insertion for congenital diaphragmatic hernia and minimally invasive treatment of hydropic fetal lung masses and sacrococcygeal tumors.

Dr Prathima Radhakrishnan

Dr Prathima is trained in Fetal Medicine from the premier centre – Harris Birthright Research Centre for Fetal Medicine at King’s College Hospital, London under Professor Kypros Nicolaides. She has obtained her certificates of competency in various aspects of fetal scanning and in-utero invasive procedures, both diagnostic and therapeutic.
Dr Prathima Radhakrishnan is the first Indian to get the Diploma in Fetal Medicine from the Fetal Medicine Foundation, UK.
She is very passionate about fetal medicine and totally committed to the cause. Her special interest is in Fetal therapy, Early diagnosis of fetal abnormalities and Pre-pregnancy counseling for fetal anomalies.
She is an FMF (UK) accredited trainer for the First trimester (NT) scan and keen participant in many conferences on the theme of Fetal medicine.
She is actively involved in training doctors in Obstetric scanning. She goes around the country doing the First trimester / NT screening workshops and has examined and certified several sonologists to perform the NT scan.
Dr Prathima Radhakrishnan has trained in Fetoscopic techniques under Professor Kypros Nicolaides at Harris Birthright Research Centre for Fetal medicine, London. This service is now offered to those pregnancies complicated by severe Twin to twin Transfusion Syndrome to do laser ablation of the anastomosing placental vessels, severe Congenital Diaphragmatic hernia and certain fetal tumors.
Dr S Suresh
A pioneer in the field of diagnostic Ultrasound established foetal medicine as a speciality in India with extensive knowledge and skills in all aspects of this speciality. Established Mediscan Systems and built the laboratory infrastructure needed for support and diagnosis in foetal medicine. From the beginning continues to provide a huge volume of free service to those who cannot afford care stemming from a strong sense of social responsibility. Has been in the forefront of private public partnership interacting with the government of Tamil Nadu in organising and implementing screening programs both antenatal and neonatal screening besides training programs for doctors. Established Foetal Care research foundation, an NGO, to provide preventive supportive and curative care for birth defects. Established the Birth defect registry of India with the single minded focus of reducing Perinatal mortality and morbidity. A dedicated teacher has trained many doctors from India and abroad in this field. Established a state of the art imaging software and involved in a web portal to ensure standards in ultrasound reporting and education. An active Rotarian, avid photographer and amateur radio operator
Dr Suseela Vavilala, DGO DNB MICOG
Dr. Suseela joined Fernandez Hospital in 1999 and is Head of the Fetal Medicine Unit. She acquired her fellowship in Fetal Medicine and became the Fetal Medicine Consultant in 2006. She has been trained in various aspects of Fetal Medicine - Obstetric Ultrasonography, including Dopplers and Fetal Echocardiography, Prenatal interventions, Genetic Counseling and Perinatal Pathology. Her areas of interest are Fetal Echocardiography and Fetal Diagnostic and Therapeutic Interventional Procedures.
