Dear Friends,

The FMFI biannual conference is approaching, and we have once again focused on a theme-based meeting. We believe that exploring a topic in-depth, from its fundamentals to future directions and research, is the best approach. This year, we have selected two themes.

The first theme is multiple pregnancies. With late childbearing and ART treatment, many clinicians are seeing an increase in multiple pregnancies. Therefore, standard protocols and management of such high-risk pregnancies are required, and knowledge needs to be disseminated. We have invited speakers who lead this field in the West. Personal interaction with them, attending lectures, and seeing live demos will clear many doubts and inspire new thinking.

The second theme is the fetal heart. This is the most common congenital anomaly missed by clinicians, and we need to reiterate the importance of picking up abnormalities. Therefore, we have added a live demo section on assessing the fetal heart and we will also demonstrate assessment of fetal heart function, as the latter is needed in all cases of monochorionic pregnancies.

We plan to have an invigorating, rejuvenating conference in the beautiful hills of Dehradun. The location is only a 45-minute flight away from Delhi and is barely a 3-hour drive away from many cities in the North via the new highway that has opened.
